What is your favorite part about working with O’Pake?

My favorite part about working with O’Pake is the opportunity to make an impact in the community of Reading. The fact that with my job I can help entrepreneurs, students and business owners makes me very happy.

What are your goals in the future?

I want to help as many people as possible during my time at O’Pake, learn as much as I can from the team, enjoy the process, and make meaningful connections for the future.

How will O’Pake help you reach these goals?

O’Pake will help me achieve my goals by allowing me to create logos and designs for different clients and businesses. It will also help me to grow as a professional with the leadership program and all the meetings and conferences offered. The institute will help me to get to know many leaders in the community that might need my services, talent, and time in the future once I graduate and complete my time here at O’Pake.

What is your favorite memory at Alvernia?

I don’t really have any memories at Alvernia since I did my bachelors at another university, but I can say that my first time here meeting Michelle, Max, and Sarah felt very nice and welcoming.

What made you decide to study at Alvernia?

It was not in my plans to do my masters right after graduating, but it came to me as an opportunity that I couldn’t deny. I was working with Katie at the Allan P. Kirby Center and she talked to Dr. Ridley about me being a graduate assistant. After I met with him and we talked about the mission of the institute and all the plans for the future I felt that it was the right path for me at this stage of my life. I didn’t know anything about Alvernia before that but after accepting my job offer I started to research about the university and I fell in love with their mission and values. This university reminds me of my high school in the Dominican Republic, a place where I have a lot of good memories.

Who or what inspires you and why?

People who do what they want in life no matter what other people think of them. I admire people who follow their dreams and passions. I love these kinds of people because they are the exact people I want to be. I try to follow my heart in every decision I make to not have regrets in the future.

What is a quote that you abide by?

Dream big, work hard, stay focused, and surround yourself with good people.

What is something that someone would be surprised to learn about you?

I illustrated a children’s book for someone.
