What is your favorite part about working with O’Pake?

My favorite part about working with O’Pake is getting hands-on experience while furthering my education. I also enjoy working on projects from creating social media content to writing formal proposals as well as getting to manage students to help them build their skill-set and portfolios.

What are your goals in the future?

Following graduation, I want to work in employee development or student development. My dream is to be the CEO of a company one day.

How will O’Pake help you reach these goals?

O’Pake will allow me to reach my goals because it challenges me every single day. It allows me to be part of high-level decision-making and provides me with a leadership role while also allowing me to build up my professional network and my resume.

What is your favorite memory at Alvernia?

My favorite memory at Alvernia thus far was working at our Entrepreneurial Pre-Orientation Camp and getting the chance to speak in Dr. Jodi Radosh’s communications class.

What made you decide to study at Alvernia?

Once I learned about Alvernia’s Leadership Program, it encapsulated everything that I am passionate about and want to pursue career wise. Prior to that, I could not put what I wanted to do into words, and the program did that for me.

Who or what inspires you and why?

People who are unapologetically themselves as professionals inspire me. There is a lot of pressure to look and act a certain way in the stereotypical professional world, and so seeing people who are challenging those norms reminds me that there are different definitions of success and that I don’t have to fit a particular mold to reach success.

What is a quote that you abide by?

“Don’t adapt to the energy in the room, influence the energy of the room.”

What is something that someone would be surprised to learn about you?

Someone would be surprised to know that I went to Hazleton Area’s Academy of Sciences which was a S.T.E.M. school and that prior to switching to communication studies, I was a neuroscience major.
